Roxy sat at a table poking at her strawberry shortcake in boredom. She was sitting next to a window, simply put, and was kind of bored. She took a strawberry from the icing and stuck it in her mouth still staring out the window, her mind wandering off.
"Beh...," Roxy mumbled to herself. She lowered her head to rest it on her hands before sitting up straight and taking an actual bite of cake instead of picking at it. It had cooled down a little bit, but it was still very sweet.
Now back to mind wandering. Hinamizawa. . .it was still taking Roxy sometime to settle in. The cicadas reminded her of home, except these cicadas didn't seem to swarm everyone like they did back home.
Ohh...that brought back horrible memories.
Roxy shook off the horrible feeling and shoved another piece of cake into her mouth, still glancing out the window. The sun reflected off of her gold collar, causing a harsh glare if anyone looked at the collar from a certain angle.
Other than the cicadas, Hinamizawa seemed pretty normal. What about that festival that kept being talked about? The Watanagashi? That sounded pretty interesting. The girl would probably go if her interest could stay and she didn't feel lonely enough to leave. If that was the case, she would stay.
If not, she would leave. But what would happen if she left? Rumors of Oyashiro-sama's curse floated around and Roxy didn't want to be inflicted with something that sounded so harsh.

Tomoko needed a summer job, so she had been visiting different shops and restaurants in an attempt to find something good. Normally she would not have even bothered looking in Angle Morts's Cafe for something that important but she search for something had been unsuccessful so far. She knew that the cafe was infamous for hiring young attractive girls to walk around in costumes and attend to costumers.
So, despite it was something girlie, the blue haired girl walked into the shop. Tomoko had to pause for a moment so that her eyes could get used to the bright light cascading from its large windows. Thats when she was surprised by a cheerful girl about her age bustling up to her, offering to show her to a table. The girl blinked her large round emerald eyes and prepared to protest but she was already being dragged along.
She swatted at girls hands and muttered a steady array of curses but she seemed not to notice. The girl looked ahead and saw that her destination was a small booth next beside a larger one where a creepy man sat. Tomoko assumed he was one of those perverts that you always hear about on the news and was becoming increasingly more annoyed.
Then out of no where a flash of light shone into her eyes and she gasped. "O-Oi!? What are you doing, ne? Trying to blind me?" She grumbled shielding her eyes and glaring down at the girl the light was coming from only to see Roxy, a new girl at her school. "Oh," Her expression softened instantly "Hello." she said in a honey sweet voice while plopping down in the stall.

"O-Oi!? What are you doing, ne? Trying to blind me?" .
“Oh?” Roxy glanced over to see that blue haired girl from her school, the one she was trying to get used to. What was her name again? Tomoko? Roxy searched the memory storage files of her mind that nodded in self-assurance that she was right for she had her Ms. Chie always call out Tomoko’s name when taking attendance.
Once Roxy looked up again, Tomoko had already sat down and was greeting Roxy with a nice voice. Roxy didn’t smile; she never smiled often. Only when something was funny or when she had no idea of what was going on did she smile.
“Oh, hi Tomoko…,” Roxy researched her mind for which honorific was used, “Tomoko-chan, right?”
There were so many honorifics; it was hard not to get them confused. But she was pretty sure that –chan was used when talking to a girl. Hopefully, Roxy, “Hinamizawa’s newbie” was catching onto things correctly. Mindlessly, Roxy stuffed another piece of cake into her mouth and just then did she realize that her gold collar was refracting light and causing a glare at odd angles.
Frowning, Roxy took off the collar and set it next to her plate. She could be kind of forgetful at times, so hopefully she wouldn’t forget her collar that was a gift.
“So, what are you doing here, Tomoko?” Roxy asked, trying to start conversation. And it was a good question, too. The black-haired girl never usually saw Tomoko at Angel Morts too much.

Sutake made his way to Angel Mort's. It was a place rather dreadful but one of his friends, not a true one just one of the people who hung around him, a guy who was scared of being perverted by going there, had asked him if he would go there and grab him some food for his family and he'd pay him for it when he got there, which Sutake'd take his sweet time to get to. Sutake was not a person who went to places like this and he hated going there in the first place. So many ungrateful people in one place made him sick and he just.. His rage was coming out and he suppressed it. No time for things like that.
Walking into the store he sat down for a few moments simply sighing and closing his eyes. He heard a hello and then a conversation start all of a sudden right behind him and checked back, his blond hair nearly getting in the way of his eyes. It was a couple of girls he did not have very much to do with. Maybe they were around him sometimes? He did not really know but he was pretty sure at least one of them had seen him. It did not matter, though. He was not going to talk with them if they had no care to speak with him and, wondering when he might get up for what he planned on buying, he planned to make his friend wait apparently.
Why was he so popular, anyway? He hardly knew why he just knew that people were usually all over around him asking him where he lived and his phone number and all the useless annoying crap. Occasionally he'd do it just to make them leave him alone but that was still fairly rare and he only chose true friends who did not use him to get what they wanted. Nothing really worked on Sutake when it came to being friends unless you just wanted to and were pretty much yourself. He'd find you if you were shy because he'd catch the small glimpses he might get. He'd know if you made a slight insult and were polite and apologized. A long list of things he did not feel like thinking of were possible and they did not matter. If he ever made a new friend he hoped they'd be one of the more pure not using ones and that they could be real friends but this hardly ever came.
A man, more so to be called a teenager about sixteen, sat in his seat, barely, as he watched the girls walk around the cafe while Sutake sighed. He'd have to do this in front of everybody would he not? Of course, that was typical. "Hey! You want a glass for your drool there buddy? I swear if you refuse we'll all drown!" Sutake said coolly. The teenager blinked a moment and then, just realizing he'd been insulted, his eyes narrowed. "Look whose talking. You're here after all aren'tcha! You're probably worse than me." The teenager said smirking with the words idiot on his face while he thought he had just triumphed. "If you must know I am here for a friend who needs some food. He's too much like you and can't come here without distractions. I personally find it pathetic to be a parasite because you can't handle being in a room with ladies." Sutake said his voice now turning ice cold and drawing the attention of several occupants of the room while the teenager tried to figure out if he'd been insulted again. "In other words, I have self control, dim witted pervert." Sutake said his anger coming out on this teenager yet his words were still smooth and ice cold.
The teenagers eyes turned livid and he stomped out of the cafe angry with Sutake. There was going to be hell to pay for that but it had to be done. Sutake did not mind getting beat up by them it was just it depended on what they did. Because sometimes he wasn't the one who got beat up. People in the cafe stared at Sutake, especially the waitresses who seemed to be surprised he'd done such a thing, they all seemed to be surprised and amazed. This generally pissed him off. He hated everyone looking at him and being the center of attention yet with his personality that is where he was usually drawn to at one point or another. He'd grown to accept the fact this happened so much but he still disliked it. he wondered who'd be the first one to say something about it or what would happen because of this. Slowly he put his head back and sighed. ... IT. he thought his body nearly losing self control and trembling with anger.

Tomoko did not seem bothered by the fact that Roxy didn't smile. She just smiled at the girl a nodded when she verified if she were using the correct honorific. She found Roxy's accent strange to her but merely ignored it...she was new to Japan and Hinamizawa after all. The waitress shuffled over to Tomoko who sighed and ordered some chocolate parfait to please her and get her off her back. She sat there watching as Roxy took her shiny color off and place it on the table. It blinded the annoying waitress a few seconds before hand...
“So, what are you doing here, Tomoko?”
The blue haired girl sighed before explaining rather quickly "Well I've been looking for a summer job. So far I've had bad luck so I though maybe there would be an empty sport here for me."
She shook her tan muscular arms in the air as if to dismiss the topic, obviously feeling embarrassed. It would be quite weird for such a boyish girl to walk around a cafe in costume... Tomoko opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by an outburst in the tables next to her. It involved the pervert she had spotted earlier and that guy. The other one that had moved to school recently, she did not recall his name. She watched slightly amused as he and other person 'bickered'.
Eventually the situation ended in some sort of 'silent threat' or at least thats what Tomoko assumed it was. She watched the creep stomp out of the cafe...everything was silent. Oddly enough, she had to resist the urge to laugh. The whole ordeal was pointless to her. You should command respect and not put up with such imbeciles. And from what she could tell Sutake, whose name she now remembered, had failed at that. More then likely he would probably be beaten up for what he just did.
Tomoko decided that she would like very much to see that. Eventually she became annoyed by everyone staring Sutake and the people in the cluster of tables around him. "Are you idiots, ne? The show is over. Get back to whatever you were doing!" Her voice was so authoritative that everyone dared not to listen to her. Quickly, the cafe had returned to its normal self as if that little outbreak had not happened.

A wave of satisfaction washed over the newbie to Japan. She loved getting things correct…it made her feel smarter, though she was smart enough as is. The waitress hardly caught Roxy’s attention compared to the blonde hair she saw noticed. Hadn’t she seen that guy before?
Her attention was turned back to the window. It would be embarrassed to be caught staring and she refused to get caught. Roxy stuffed the last bit of the shortcake in her mouth. Huh…she had eaten more of it than she thought in a short period of time. Yes, Roxy had forgotten what the conversation at hand was about, so the wave of Tomoko’s hand really wasn’t necessary.
Suddenly, an argument between two boys broke out. Roxy watched with interest. She always liked watching arguments between others around her age. They were just interesting for no particular reason. Once the argument was over, Roxy rested her head on her hand. She adjust her goggles with her other hand and looked at the blonde haired boy with interest.
His hair looked a little greenish, too. Wait…now, Roxy remembered his name. It was something like Sutake. She didn’t know the guy too well. Tomoko’s demand for everyone to get back to what they were doing brought the girl out of her thoughts.
Roxy smirked to herself. She and this guy would get along once they got the chance to talk.
“That was very interesting,” Roxy said to Tomoko in a hushed tone.

Sutake sighed as some girl yelled out for everybody to stop looking around and nothing was happening anymore. Why did people have to be so much like that? He hated it when people were like that and he was not exactly in a awesome mood. She'd likely get pissed and go off but he hardly cared right now. "Sorry but doing that is going to get probably even more attention. Don't mess with the subject just let them forget. I wonder when the ass'll show up with some goon buddies to beat the living hell out of me." Sutake said nonchalantly glaring at her. They couldn't really hurt him and if they tried to kill him they'd be the ones in trouble.
His glare discontinued to look at the other girl with whomever had "diverted" the attention of two people. She seemed more shy and less caring about what had happened. As if.. The guy leaving was just somebody else that had no real effect on her. That was interesting because most of them had taken some huge gasp or some dramatic annoying crap that annoyed him.Sighing he sat back down and decided he didn't feel like getting the food. His friend would understand when he looked like he got run over by a truck.
Scratching his head he stood up and slowly walked toward the door wondering what was going to happen when the goon met him. He sighed taking in the likely last few moments of peace he would have even though he expected something totally unexpected to happen to him. It was just his luck before he got the nuts beat out of him.

"Sorry but doing that is going to get probably even more attention. Don't mess with the subject just let them forget. I wonder when the ass'll show up with some goon buddies to beat the living hell out of me."
Tomoko reverted back to her normal giddy self, hardly seeming to comprehend a word Sutake said. "Well when they come to 'beat the living hell out of you' make sure to aim for the groin." She said enthusiastically as the waitress placed her order on the table. The girl smiled at she picked up her spoon and began to stuff chocolate parfait in her mouth quickly. The girl absent mindedly pointed at her beauty mark and started to hum.
Then she looked up and saw Sutake standing at the door way. Excitedly, she sat her money down on the table for her dessert and stood up. Carefully, she inched closer to they pale green haired boy. Deciding she would have to stop thins if they got to out of hand. And well....she wanted to see what would happen. [Short post is short.]

Roxy raised an eyebrow. So he was going to get the living hell beat out of him? Roxy wanted to see this. She stood up and put her money on the table before shuffling out of the stall, grabbed her collar, then walked out. She walked over towards the two, much taller than Tomoko and somewhat shorter than Sutake.
She was silent, just silent. But excited; hopefully Roxy wouldn’t get dragged in it. She had her own little ways of getting out of things and she’d have to thank her father and those boxing matches she used to watch before she moved to Japan.
